Trevor Steward Renshi. Born in Barnet, Hertfordshire in 1968. Trevor began his martial arts training under the personal direction of Kevin Pell Hanshi in 1994.
It was clear within his first 12 months of training that Trevor was ideally suited to the art of Ishin Ryu Ju-Jitsu, so much so that he was selected to become a member of the Ishin Ryu Ju-Jitsu Combat Training Wing. He has travelled the world alongside Kevin Pell Hanshi as an assistant instructor, having personally taught in Portugal, Ireland, Spain, Finland and The United States of America. Trevor has personally participated in many instructor level courses taken by members of the British Special Forces incorporating the specialists skills of practical pistol, surveillance, counter intelligence and close protection. These courses have added to the extensive knowledge and experience offered by instructors on the Combat Training Wing within Ishin Ryu Ju-Jitsu. |

These courses have added to the extensive knowledge and experience offered by instructors on the Combat Training Wing within Ishin Ryu Ju-Jitsu.
Since 1994, Trevor has accompanied Kevin Pell Hanshi on numerous high profile close protection contracts throughout the UK.
He achieved his black belt in November 2000 whilst being the subject of a 'fly on the wall' documentary to be televised in 2004 entitled "The Making of A Black Belt".
Trevor has recently moved to Norfolk, where he now has his own Dojos throughout Norfolk and Suffolk, as well as assisting Hanshi. He currently teaches at the following Dojo's:

The Breckland Leisure Centre,
Caston Village Hall,
The Norfolk Golf and Country Club,
Honbu Dojo,
Watton Junior School,
Westfield Infants and Nursery School,
Riddlesworth Hall Preparatory School ,

On the 27th April 2002, Trevor was awarded his Nidan, (2nd Dan), one year after opening his first dojo in Thetford.

On Saturday the 26th of March 2005, Kevin Pell Hanshi presented Trevor Steward with his Sandan (3rd Dan) and awarded him the position of Assistant National Coach, Great Britain. This position was presented at the 15th anniversary dinner presentation evening, in Borehamwood Hertfordshire (the home of Ishin Ryu Ju-Jitsu) celebrating the formation of the Sekai Ishin Ryu Ju-Jitsu Renmei in recognition of his outstanding contribution to Ishin Ryu Ju-Jitsu, and his tireless efforts in assisting Kevin Pell Hanshi in the future technical development of Ishin Ryu Ju-Jitsu.
On Saturday the 17th of March 2007, Trevor was awarded his 4th Dan and the title of Renshi by Ishin Ryu Ju-Jitsu's founder and chief instructor, Kevin Pell Hanshi at the organisation's 17th Anniversary presentation dinner held in Borehamwood in Hertfordshire.
