Martin Fricker Sensei 2nd Dan M.G.R.Y. |

|
In 1990 Martin made the move from Karate to Ju-Jitsu, joining the Sekai Ishin Ryu Ju-Jitsu Renmei. Under the personal direction of Soke Kevin Pell, Martin slowly ascended the belts, even winning a few belt trophies on the way.
Martin Fricker Sensei currently holds a Nidan in Karate and Shodan-Ho in Ishin Ryu Ju-Jitsu, personally awarded to him by Kevin Pell Hanshi after many years of loyal service and arduous training. Martin has recently bonded his experiences in the two styles and opened his school of Ishin Ryu Karate Jutsu, which uses the powerful punching and kicking techniques of karate, but also utilising the deadly close quarter locks and throws of Ishin Ryu Ju-Jitsu to form a highly attractive no nonsense style. Martin received his Ishin Ryu Ju-Jitsu Shodan from Kevin Pell Hanshi on Saturday the 27th of March 2004, at the 14th anniversary dinner and presentation evening, held at the Elstree Moat House Hotel in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, in recognition of his continuous service and his unfaltering contribution to the work behind the scenes since the club's founding in 1990 |
Sensei Martin currently teaches at the Honbu Dojo in Norfolk and the Borehamwood Dojo in Hertfordshire
