I was born in Huntingdon in 1988 and I first started Judo in 1996 in the month of October with Kanazawa Budo Club. I was among the first members at Huntingdon Medway centre and I was taught by Patrick (Paddy) Swallow Renshi. Ten years on I'm now teaching alongside Renshi at the same club among others. During my 10 years I have attended several courses and seminars and tried out many different martial arts on many occasions. These martial arts include Ju-Jitsu, Hapkido, Aikido, Iaido and karate among others. I have always stayed with Judo and have not stopped in 10 years of training. For many years of my training I was fortunate enough to have trained under Alfred Bates Kancho. I achieved my Shodan on April 2nd 2006. I began assisting Patrick Renshi in teaching prior to this and have always enjoyed instructing and passing on my knowledge. I currently assist Paddy Swallow Renshi and Scott Thurston Sensei in instructing at 3 clubs a week in the Cambridgeshire area (St Ivo Leisure Centre or Fenstanton Primary School, Stukeley Meadows Primary School and Huntingdon Medway Centre). |
I am very happy with Kanazawa Budo Club's move to Ishin Ryu Ju-Jitsu and I hope to further my skills in martial arts with the kind help and guidance of Kevin Pell Hanshi.
