Laura Peil Sensei 3rd Dan M.G.R.Y. |

|
I was born in Worcester in 1969, but moved to Redditch when I was two years old. I have three
children, two grandchildren and am married to Stephen Peil Renshi, who I met through my
training in Ju-Jitsu.
I began my martial arts training in 1993 after an incident which involved a man exposing himself to me. I started training in Aikido but soon realised that Ju-Jitsu was the art for me. I persevered with my training as it didn't come easy and I eventually got my first belt after a years training. I continued training and gained my 1st Dan on the 27th of April 2002 under John and Dave Walker after nearly 9 years training. This was the hardest thing I had ever done in my life. Since then I have tried to train with as many martial artists as possible in various arts. I have trained with Geoff Thompson, Peter Consterdine, on various courses and of course Kevin Pell Hanshi from Ishin Ryu Ju-Jitsu. |
I gained my 2nd Dan in October 2004 under the direction of Jeff Whitehead Sensei 6th Dan, after a long and arduous grading.
I have also gained 3rd Kyu in Tomiki Aikido, and 6th Kyu in Shotokan Karate.
My dream for the future is to teach martial arts full time.
I currently hold the grades of:
