Jo-Inge was born in January 1971. He is living in Fet County, 25 km north-east of Oslo, just outside of Lillestroem. Jo-Inge started his Martial Arts career in 1983. Training Wado-Ryu karate in Skedsmo Karate Club, and he has been training Martial Arts since then. ![]() |
Jo-Inge was graded to his 3rd Dan by Kevin Pell Hanshi 8th Dan, October 2003. He became Skedsmo Dojo's first ever black belt when he together with O. Odegaard was graded to 1st Dan in 1996 by Hanshi R. Morris 9th Dan. In 2000 he was graded to 2nd Dan by Kyoshi J. Therien 8th Dan, Shihan A. Sailly 7th Dan and Renshi R. Henrichsen 5th Dan. Jo-Inge has his background from the Ju Jitsu Norway system by Renshi R. Henrichsen 5th Dan and Renshi T. Arntsen 5th Dan.
In the period November 2001, Jo-Inge in co-operation with Ronny Sannerud, developed and composed the syllabus of Norwegian Goshin Ryu. In December 2005 they re-composed the NGR syllabus.
In 1998 Jo-Inge went to Macedonia to UN-service in the former Yugoslavia. He has worked several years both as a guard at Clubs and as a security guard. He has in several occasions been teaching out ju-jitsu, self-defence, and CQB for the Police Academy, the Norwegian Defence Forces, The Norwegian Home guard, security companies, and guards at night Clubs.
Jo-Inge has written the only Norwegian self teaching-book, "Selvforsvar og person kontroll med kubotan e.l. gjenstander." (Self-defence and Control by use of the Kubaton). He is also teaching Kubaton and self defence on seminar basis for Armygear.com. Jo-Inge is working at the "Institutt for Energiteknikk" (Institute of Energy Technique) at the Scientific Park at Kjeller just outside of Lillestroem.
Sensei Jo-Inge is an instructor at the Lillestroem Ju-Jitsu Dojo and the Branas skole Ju-Jitsu Dojo.
