Erich Bruegger Sensei
When someone goes on a journey he has a story to tell.

My journey into the Martial Arts started in the late eighties, when I stayed in America with friends. Once a day I had the honour and pleasure to met Shihan Robert Cabral, a Bodyguard in the Hollywood area and teacher in Martial Arts. His appearance and the way he talked about Martial Arts was reason enough to me to have a trial lesson in his Dojo. The training was absolutely fascinating so I decided to join and train on a regular basis.

Once back in Switzerland, I was lucky enough to welcome Shihan Robert Cabral for a period of 6 months which gave me the opportunity to continue my training. After he returned to USA I had a good basic knowledge and as I wanted to continue my Martial Arts training I joined a Switzerland based Ju-Jitsu School, which was a very good experience. However, after two years I got the chance to travel to L.A. again and decided to take this opportunity to go along with Shihan Robert Cabral and undertake intensive training. In the years that followed I met many great teachers such as Asami Sensei, Farkes E. Sensei as well as students of Steven Seagal who gave me greatly appreciated support on the way to my Shodan, which I passed in the spring of 1995.

Back home in Switzerland, I worked as a Fitness Coach which left enough time to build up my own school. It was a great honour to me that in late 2005 three of my students passed the first black belt test in Switzerland under the direction of Shihan Robert Cabral.

Currently we are located in Adligenswil and train twice a week. Our goal is to follow the traditional path of Bu-Jutsu and support Japanese Martial Arts on a regional, national and international basis. As such it was a great pleasure to us to met Kevin Pell Hanshi in 2006 at the fifth Shochu Geiko in Thetford, England and become member of the Sekai Ishin Ryu Ju Jitsu Renmei in mid 2007.
