On Monday the 21st of May, Pell Hanshi drove to Thetford train station to pick up Dr Crimi, who was on tour in England from California in the US for a short holiday and a weekend seminar over the 26th and 27th of May.

During his short vacation with us, I was able to take him to the coast for fresh Sushi and some fantastic scenery to one of the best Koi carp farms in the country and out to dinner, although I strongly suspect that Dr Crimi preferred Teresa's home cooking, washed down with a few pints of Caffery's.

Day one of the seminar was dedicated to pistol disarm and knife defence, which went down a treat with the Ishin Ryu students, which lead us nicely into our meal in the evening whereupon we took Dr Crimi down to the local pub for a superb dinner and a few isotonic lagers.

Day two was dedicated to Kappo techniques, which was our first ever experience of this fascinating art and very rapidly had everyone totally chilled!

At the end of the seminar, Dr Crimi made two presentations to me, a membership certificate to the International Teachers Association of the Martial Arts, followed by membership to the American Teachers Association of the Martial Arts, for which I was deeply honoured. I then made a special presentation to Dr Crimi of a Franklin Mint limited edition Tanto, which judging by the smile of Hanshi's face was very well received.

I would once again like to thank Dr Crimi for his time with us, his excellent teaching and his extended hand in friendship - a truly great teacher!

Seminar's Thank You Letters

Ouss Soke,

Can you please pass my thanks onto Hanshi Crimi for such an informative course? I very much enjoyed the Katsu-ho and the Amma that was covered over the weekend. The relaxed atmosphere when we covered the Amma made it even more enjoyable.

Thanks again to you and Teresa for putting me up for the weekend,
