On Friday the 13th of April, students from the Thetford, Honbu and Borehamwood Dojo flew the Zagreb in Croatia for our second seminar hosted by our national representative, Sensei Miro Zdunic, who as usual had all the organising down to a fine art where we were smoothly booked into our hotel followed by a quick sight seeing tour and a sumptuous meal before turning in during the early hours of the morning (I blame Sempai Vearnon) in preparation for our two day seminar.

During our visit, Kevin Pell Hanshi was taken to the city's radio station where he was interviewed live via a translator on his long and varied martial arts career and experiences.

The training and teaching was absolutely first class as was the hospitality, and we would like to thank Sensei Miro and his students for another fantastic trip and a first class seminar, and we look forward to you visiting us later in the year for the Ishin Ryu International Seminar, the Shochu Geiko 2007.

Thank You Letters

Dear Soke!

First of all, I hope that you and your students had a good flight and that all of you arrived home safely. A few days after our seminar "Golden Hawk" has finished, I must say,

SOKE, THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!

Despite very hard and intensive work by me personally, and all my students, without your help, support and understanding, the seminar wouldn't have been as nearly successful as it was, so I must repeat the words that my students have heard from me many times:

"It is very good to have Soke Kevin Pell on my side!!!!"

Like you said to me in the end of the seminar, a number of, approximately, one hundred students in two days is a big success. All attendants from Croatia, who come to me after the seminar, told me that they had a wonderful time and that all of them enjoyed these two days. I hope that our friends from England enjoyed to practice with us, because all my students have only the best words about them.

I am aware that everything can be better, and I need to learn many things, but I am happy because I have somebody to show me. SOKE, THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!

Ouss Soke,

Thank you for the last few days in Croatia. It was an honour to teach alongside your self, Renshi Trevor, Sensei Andy, Kyoshi Paddy and of course Renshi Stephen.

Ouss Soke,

After the flight home and the several trains that we had to catch, we are finally home. Apart from being extremely tired and bruised from being Uke to so many instructors, which is always an honour (and being their b*tch).

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the members of Urbana and the special Police for all that they done for us over the weekend to make it such an enjoyable course. It will have to be arranged for us to show the same hospitality to them. All that's left to do now is let all that greasy food leave my system and get some decent sleep.

I would like to also thank all the instructors and yourself for a good seminar, especially enjoyed being on Renshi Trevor's, Sensei Andy's and Kyoshi Paddy's Tatami.

With honour and respect always,
Domo arigato,
Leigh
